Farriery

Higher Spen Equine Spa and Livery works closely with a highly respected, local registered farrier, Ben Dewhurst DipWCF. Ben is on site at Higher Spen most days.

Ben provides hot and cold shoeing and trimming for all types of equine feet. For problem feet Ben can provide remedial shoeing or trimming, and can also devise corrective measures to compensate for faulty limb action.

For any special cases, Ben can offer custom made shoes, handmade in his forge.

Please note however that we welcome all farriers at Higher Spen and we have no restrictive policies regarding shoeing on our site.
